Hey guys! Long time, no see. I’m back today with a review on what I can boldly proclaim as the best drugstore eyeshadow palette on the market. While many drugstore brands have been stepping up their game lately, I can’t believe this one costs less than $20. Honestly, the quality is comparable to some of my high-end palettes such as the Too Faced Natural Love palette and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette.
The Catrice Basic Bae eyeshadow palette contains 12 neutral shades featuring a combination of matte and shimmer shadows. The eyeshadows are buttery and creamy to touch and blend with ease. They are also incredibly pigmented – I actually had to scrub my arm with a makeup removing wipe to remove the swatches. The only colors that didn’t perform 100% fantastic are the first and last shades (#basic and #TBT) as they were a little patchy. Otherwise, the texture and consistency is awesome.
I’ve been loving this palette for a quick, easy makeup look for work. The colors last all day on my eyes and I haven’t experiencing any creasing at all. The palette also has a large mirror on the inside which is super practical for touch ups throughout the day.
You can buy the Catrice Basic Bae eyeshadow palette at Shoppers Drug Mart for $16.99 in Canada. There are also two other variations – Badass Bae (warmer, red tones) or Self-Made Bae (cooler, pink tones). At such an affordable price point, you can even grab more than one!
