Following the Christmas season, January is a hard month for a lot of small businesses. Add in a weeklong state of emergency that forced businesses to close their doors and you can imagine the financial difficulties they may face this year.
I’ve decided to compile a list of local businesses on the east coast of Newfoundland as that is the area I am familiar with. If you can, pay an extra visit to one of these. Pick up a new outfit, take your significant other out for a nice meal, or grab a coffee from a local joint. If you can’t afford to do that, just give them a follow on social media, or recommend a business to a friend! Newfoundland really came together during the storm and I’d love to see that continue as we return to normalcy.
